FOTD

Hello beatiful followers,

So last night we went out to eat and I wanted to take a FOTD. I always have a hard time finding the perfect lighting to take these pictures. My make up was very simple. Check out the flashback on this picture! Makeup forever HD foundation here I come!!!
Face:
- MAC Studio Fix Fluid in NC 30
-MAC blush in Peaches
Eyes:
- MAC honey lust shadow. I love this shadow. This is one of my top shadows. It's a lustre and it's a gorgeous gold/honey warm color that lightens your eyes and instantly makes you look awake.
- A tiny bit of MAC satin taupe on the outer v.
- MAC zoom lash mascara. Beware this mascara clumps badly. I don't mind it but i know a lot of people do not like mascaras that clump. I love that it makes my lashes super dramatic. It's extremely black and it gives a lot of volume

Lips:
-YSL Tea Rose. This is the perfect nude because it has a peach undertone so you can get the nude lip in a more natural and soft away. I love this lipstick.

And when I got back I decide to take a picture of Mr.  Biggs too...just because I don't want him to feel exclude well with all this talk about Rex. Meet Mr. Biggs =) He was camera shy.
Hope you all had a lovely day =)

YSL, Chanel and Sephora haul

Hi everyone,
So I have yet another haul.....I hope you don't mind. I had some department gift cards that were "begging" to be used.
I stopped at Sephora to try out Make Up For Ever  Aqua Cream shadows. I really wanted number 13 in "Warm Beige" which is a soft shampagne color and would be perfect with natural eyeshadows but they were sold out. I got number 16 in "Ping Beige" instead which is a pretty gold/pink eyeshadow. These cream eyeshadows are amazing. I swatched them at the store and although I kept trying to wipe it off, it stayed put. I had to use makeup remove to get them off and they didn't come off easily. They do not crease either. If you can get your hands on these, do so. They are perfect on their on but also under eyeshadow to make the color more vibrant. I'll be trying some of the other colors so expect a review on these soon.

2. I got Benefit Coralista. I have had this before but ran out of it. This is a soft coral blush. It's well known in the make up community =) It's a mixture of pink/gold and coral all into one. This has a soft coral/orange undertone making it a bit unique and it has some sheen to it as well. It's a good summer blush. The packaging is really cute. If Barbie had a coral blush, it would be Coralista.

.
3. Lorac's Little Black Palette. This pallet has 4 baked eyeshadows and an eye primer. These eyshadows are just like any other mineralized eyeshadows meaning supper shimmery and perfect for summer. The colors are a soft champagne, a rose shimmer, a copper shimmer and a dark brown.

4. After hitting Sephora, I went to Dillards and stopped at both YSL and Chanel. I needed a new YSL Tea Rose because I ran out of the one I had. YSL Tea Rose is a holy grail lip product for me. It's the perfect nude with soft peach undertone. It's so pretty and it's one that I have repurchased many times. It gives you that pretty shiny, plump soft and sexy look to the lips. I love this lipstick.

5. I stopped at Chanel to purchase "Bikini Peach" lip gloss from their spring collection. This is so pretty. It's been sold out everyone. I"m not a huge fan of Chanel's glossimers. I have a few of them but I never reach for them. This is different though. I think the thing I like least about glossimers is that I don't find them that pigmented. This is more pigmented than the ones I have tried before. Of course as the name says it's a peachy/coral type of color. This is perfect on top  of Tea Rose. I have worn this non stop since I bought it. I really like it under MAC's Hue lipstick for that perfect pinkish nude glossy lip.

I think the theme of this post is coral =) I have been loving corals this season. What are your favourite spring/summer make up colors?
I hope you all have an amazing weekend

NOTD Essie Red Nouveau

Hi everyone,

I recently got Essie's 4 piece spring collection which came with Red Nouveau, Tart Deco, Pop Art Pink and Lilacism. These colors are so pretty and summery.

I was craving red today, so I went for Red Nouveau. I love red nails. They can be so classy. Unfortunately it's really hard to find the perfect kind of red. Some red look so pretty on the bootle but can look cheap when applied. I'm always looking for that perfect classy red. If you watch "The City", I want whatever red polish Olivia wears. Do you have a favourite red polish? I would love any suggestions.

MAC Haul

Hi everyone,
Hope you all have had an amazing week. I went to the mall yesterday and stopped by my local MAC pro store and Sephora. I bought a few items and thought to share them with you. I'll do a separate post for the Sephora items.
1. I bought a back up of MAC's blush in "Cheek". This is a pink matte blush. It's so so pretty. Think soft light cotton candy pink. It is a scrumptious color but MAC being MAC, they have discontinued this color. I bought a back up of it because I love it so much. If you can't find this, Pinch O' Peach is a close dupe.

2. I also got another pro blush in the color salsarose. This is a bright red color. It's scary to look at, as are most all MAC pro blushes. This was a replacement, and the one I had before this lasted me for ages. These are worth the money. I love red blushes on brunettes and love to wear them when my hair is darker. It makes me think of winter and that flush happy look you get when you're outside playing in the snow.

3. I got Vex eyeshadow. This is also a replacement as I ran out of the one I had. Vex is a whole lot of colors mixed in one. It is a beige with pink and green pearl. It's a frost finish which equals shimmery lids. Gorgeous!!!! Everyone needs this color in their life. This swatch does not make it justice. I can't get the undertones to show. In real life this is a beauty!

4. I got a beauty powder from Liberty of London collection. The color is Summer Rose. I'll be using this as a blush. It's a light light purple almost lavender color with a slight sheen to it.

5. I got Viva Glam Cindy. I'm a bit late in getting this but I must say as much as I love darker colors on others, on me I just prefer a light pink, peach or nude color. This is not the type of color I would usually wear but this can be easily sheered out. This is a mixture of red and coral which makes it more wearable then a plain red. I have heard rave reviews on this lipstick. It is a lustre so it's very shinny and the money goes to a good cause.

This is all I got from MAC. Several of these items were just replacement as I had ran out of them so these are well loved products. What do you think of these colors?
Hope you all had an amazing weekend. :)

FOTD and meet my puppy

Hi everyone,
I tried to get a face of the day picture for you guys but my puppy who is only one year old although he is really big wouldn't get out of the pictures so I finally gave up and took the picture with him.
Here is what I used today:
1. NARS sheer glow in Barcelona
2. MAC honey lust all over the lid
3. Just a tiny bit of MAC Antiqued in the outer v
4. MAC shy girl lipstick
Sorry I couldn't get a better picture (this was the best out the bunch) of my make up but I thought you may like to see my puppy Rex anyway. Hope you are having a great Friday :)

NOTD OPI "Do you lilac it?"

Hi Everyone,

Here is what I used on my nails today:
1 CND Stickey as a base coat-holy grail product. It'll keep your nail polish on for ages. I can't rave enough about this
2. OPI "Do you lilac it?" I love this color. I love lilac to begin with, but this is just an easy to apply color. You could even use one coat of this which I don't find I'm able to do with most polishes. I used two and got perfect opaque coverage.
3. Orly "In A Snap" top coat. It helps nail polish dry quicker.
What do you think of this nail polish? On another note, I recently got a whole lot of dark low lights thru may hair which was a shock to my system after being a blonde for ages. The good news is I can pull of brights pinks such as MAC saint germain much easier now then I did when I was blonde. I find that as a blonde it's all about corals and peaches and as brunette I can pull off red or pink. It's fun to change every once in a while and will make a post about hair soon.
Hope you all had an amazing week.

Top 10 favourite MAC blushes

Hi everyone,
Hope you all are having an amazing weekend. I love blush so I thought to make a post of my top favorite MAC blushes. These aren't my favorite blushes. These are just my favourite MAC blushes. These are in no particular order although I should say Melba and Well dressed and are my favorite blushes of all time.

1. MAC Melba. Melba is one of MAC's first blushes. At first MAC only made matte blushes and this is one of them. If I would recomand any color to try would be Melba. It looks like nothing special on the pan but on it's gorgeous. Melba is a soft peachy pink color. It gives you that warm, healthy sexy look. It completly warms up the face and gives that overall look of good health. I love this color. Melba is the reason I fell in love with blush. :)
2. Style is MAC's version of NARS orgasm. It's a coral blush laced with gold. Because this blush has so much gold running thru it, it gives that healthy glow to the cheeks.
3. Peachykeen is soft baby peach color. It has tons of pink shimmer laced thru it. This is a universal color and it goes well with any skin tone.
4. MAC Other Worldly from the moonbathe collection. It is a bronze color with a whole lot of gold shimmer running thru it.  When I put this on, I feel like I just came back from vacationing in an exotic island. :) It's a limmitted addition item that you can't get anymore, but MAC constantly make bronze blushes. Get Away Bronze from MAC's latest To the beach collection is very simmilar to this blush.
5. MAC Fab from the Barbie Collection. This is another limmited addition item but I love this color. It's a plum color full of gold glitter. The glitter though is so finally milled it melts in your skin. I do not like glitter on my face but this does not sit on your skin. It just gives a glow. It's very very sheer.
6. MAC Ladyblush blushcreme. This is a creme blush which I prefer to the powder blushes because they look more natural on. It's a cool pink with blue undertones. It's one of MAC's bestsellers.
7. MAC Pink Swoon. A lot of people have this blush and for good reason. It's a gorgeous hot blue pink.
8. MAC Tippy from the Hello Kitty Collection. It's a pink mixed with a bit of purple making the pefect hot pink blush. Very pigmented. A little goes a long way with this blush.
9. MAC Danity is a mineralize blush. It's a warm yellow pink. This is very sheer so this is for those days when you just want a simple natural look.
10. MAC well dresssed. This is a holy grail product for me. I have mentioned this product several times so I won't go in details but it's just a pink with whole lot of silver undertones.  It gives that babydoll look.

What are your favourite blush colors? Do you have any recommandations for me? I want to know even if they're not MAC. :)
Hope you all are having a great weekend.

NOTD Essie Playa Del Platinum

Hi everyone,

Here is what I put on my nails today:
1. Base coat CNDC stickey
2. New Essie Playa Del Platinum from the Resort Collection
3. Orly Glosser top coat

This nail polish is very different. I passed on it first time I sow it but it's actually very unique. I don't even know how to describe it but it's one of those dirty colors that look odd in the bottle but looks amazing on. Here is a picture of it in outside lighting. It's very pretty.

Do you have this color? What do you think of this color? I hope everyone is having an amazing week. The weekend is nearly here. :)

MAC Haul

Hi Everyone,

I have a little mini haul for you today. I stopped by my local MAC pro store a couple of times in the last week and purchased a few items . I have been into corals a lot this spring/summer so everything below is either coral or pink. :)
I got Vegas Volt lipstick. If you want coral lips, this is the lipstick to purchase. I thought Costa Chic was coral until I met Vegas Volt. Vegas volt is Costa Chic in the 10th power. It's amazing on especially with a tan which I currently do not have but I'm working on it.  Here is Vegas Volt:

Continuing with the coral/peach theme, I got a blush that's a pro only item called Cantaloupe. This color is gorgeous on any skin tone. It's a seashell pink/soft peach type of color. The pro blushes are very pigmented. A little goes a long way so it's real good value for the money. A lot of people stay away from pro blushes because they are so intense. They do need to be used with a light hand but they last a very long time, I highly recommend them. Below is a swatch of cantaloupe. It makes me think of summer.

The next blush I got was Dame mainly because I had looked at it for sometime now and always thought this was a darker version of my beloved MAC well dressed blush. The make up artist at MAC confirmed it so that was enough reason for me to buy it (not that I needed any convincing).

I also got High Strung lipstick. This is a pinky mauve with silver flecks running thru it. It is so unbelievably glossy on. It's gorgeous!!!!

This was my mini MAC haul. I hope you all are doing amazing. I have missed posting lately and have a lot blog readings to do. :)

I recently purchased MAC's To the Beach eyeshadow in firecracker and decided to try it on yesterday.
Here is what I used:

2. MAC's eyeshadow in all that glitters all over the lid
3. Firecracker eyeshadow starting half of the lid and all the way out
4. MAC's Romp in the outer v only
5. Make up for ever smokey lash mascara.
Below is the overall look.

Do you guys wear pink eyeshadows or do you find them hard to wear?
Hope you all are having a lovely weekend.

MAC Eyeshadow Pallets Part 1

Hi everyone,

I wanted to make a post of some the MAC pallets that I use. Most of these colors are for every day use, natural look. Here are some of the colors on one of my favorite pallets (starting from the top left to the bottom right)
1. Nylon is a very pretty light yellow. It's a frost so it opens up the eye and it makes you look awake. This is perfect for those days when you feel/look tired and you want to use products that make you glow and reflect light. Use it in the tear duct to open up the eye.
2. Jest is a lighter version of allthatglitters. It's a peachy color. It looks perfect with sable in the otter v.
3. Retrospeck is a shimmery white/yellow type of color described by MAC as a beached blonde. When you swatch this it looks a bit chunky as it's a lustre. With a good base though, this stays put. Try this with tempting if you have green and blue eyes. It looks amazing!
4. Amber lights is a brown that looks like liquid metal. It works well on blue eyes especially.
5. Gleam is another lustre. This is a mix of gold and pink. This is perfect with MAC Twinks in the otter v.
6. Honeylust is a mixture of gold, pink, bronze all into one. I love love love this color. It's very shimmery but not glittery. I get a lot of compliments when I wear this color.
7. Texture is a light brown with gold running thru it. Perfect for everyday look. It's one of those colors that's easy to skip on because it looks OK in the pan, but on is gorgeous!
8. Satin Taupe. This is a stormy purple/gray/taupe color. Perfect for a natural smokey eye. Pair this with a bit of carbon in the outer corner and a tiny bit of nylon in the tear duct for a more smokey look.
9. All That Glitters. This is a champagne yellow pink type of color. It's pretty for an every day look. I go thru several of these as this compliments any skin tone or any color of eye.
10. Romp. Romp is a light chocolate brown with gold laced thru it.
11. Coppering is a copper/red color. This is one of the most unique shadows MAC make. If you missed out on MAC's so popular spiced chocolate quad, you want to buy coppering, cranberry, a matte brown and shroom and you have the quad. Coppering and Cranberry would be the perfect dupe for MAC's spiced chocolate most famous colors.
12. Beauty Marked. This is a red type of black with finely milled shimmer running thru it. I use this for a less dramatic smokey eye.
13. Mythology is a red/copper packed with gold shimmer. This is one of my favorite colors. It really compliments blue and green eyes.
14. Sable is a plum brown with gold laced thru it. If you are new to MAC, you need to start with this eyeshadow. You can wear this over the lid or in the outter v for a smokey look. I love sable.
15. Sensualize. I feel bad to show this color as this was limited edition. I'm currently using my second back up of this. It's a taupe color with red shimmer running thru it. It gives you that soft sensual look. I love this but if you can't get this anymore, a second best would be Satin Taupe.
Here are some swatches of these colors(from L-R, Nylon, Jest, Retrospeck, Amber lights, Gleam,Honeylust, Texture, Satin Taupe, All that glitters, Romp, Coppering, Beauty Marked, Mythology, Sable and Sensualize)

What are some of your favourite MAC eyeshadows?

NOTD OPI MOD About You

Hi everyone,
This is what I used on my nails today:

1. CND stickey base coat
2. Two coats of Mod about you
3. OPI top coat

I love OPI Mod about you. It's such a pretty pink/lilac type of color. It's very unique and girly. Perfect for summer and it is perfect for a pedicure too. Have you tried this color? Do you have any recommendations for any similar colors?

Favourite May Products

Hi everyone,
I wanted to do a post about some of the things I have worn the most during April/May. It has been warm and rainy here these past two months so my make up (on most days) has been all about keeping it simple which means a bit of tinted moisturizer (paired with tons of concealer), a warm natural eyeshadow, lots of mascara and a bit of gloss.

Here are some of the things I loved using in the month of April and May:
1. My hair has been colored several times and although I only get the roots done now, it is a blond and coloring can be very harsh on your hair. I bought Aveda dry remedy in April and used it as a mask at first. This left my hair soft and shiny, tangle free and it just felt in overall good health. I spend 10 days at the beach spending long hours laying out. Usually even though I use the Fekkai Summer hair spray with SPF at the beach, it still takes a toll on my hair. This time my hair felt so soft and shiny and it was all due to Aveda dry remedy. It has buriti oil in it which has high amounts of vitamin A. It literally transforms your hair. This is perfect in making the hair soft and frizz free on these hot summer days.

 3. Smashbox in Pout. If you are a pink gloss kind of girl, you need this in your life. It's a light blue pink/warm lilac type of color. This is very pigmented but you can sheer it out. I used this during summer on it's own. It gives that perfect pop of color that lifts up the face. This is not sticky at all which translates into zero lasting power. That's a downside, but sticky lip glosses are hard to deal with on a hot summer day.

4.Korres lip butter in Jasmine. I love this. It's that perfect beige/nude color. It goes on quiet sheer but it's really moisturizing and it smells divine. It smells of caramel. Excuse how messy this looks but it comes in a small tub type of container and that's a downside for me as it gets pretty messy. I love it though and will continue purchasing this as long as Korres make it.

5. Make Up For Ever Smokey Lash. If you want to add drama to your lashes, than you need this mascara. It's the best. The downside is the price so I try not to repurchase this too often.

6. Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer with spf 20. I got the oil free version of this as my face is combination/oily. This is by far the best tinted moisturizer I have ever tried in terms of providing an amazing coverage but yet having that fresh/glowy healthy look you get when wearing a tinted moisturizer. This is perfect for summer when you don't feel like slapping on foundation and still want a bit of a coverage.
7. A natural warm eyeshadow. During summer I don't want to make my eyes all that dramatic so I love wearing a simple/soft eyeshadow all over the lid. For this post I have picked an eyeshadow I have worn the most during this month which is Lorac in Serenity (It's broken so that's why it looks a bit messy but a swatch is coming up) It's a peachy/gold eyeshadow but any natural type of eyeshadow will do. This has a lot of shimmer on it so it really brightens your eyes. I love it.

Below are some swatches of some of these product from left to right we have Korres Jasmine lip butter (can hardly see it, Smashbox Pout and Lorac Serenity)

What are some of the products you have loved wearing in May?
