OOTD - Enjoying the sunshine

It has gotten significantly warmer here recently which puts me in an amazing happy mood. I love sunshine so much. It's hard to believe Monday last week was snowing here and today felt like summer.
Here is a quick outfit of the day. On another note, my hair has grown over three inches since I cut it in January and I really need to make another post on my current hair care routine.

Laura Mercier Artist Eyeshadow Palette

Hi Everyone,
I went shopping recently at Nordstrom and spotted Laura Mercier's new Artist eyeshadow palette. This palette contains twelve eyeshadows that are nudes and naturals which I can't get enough of because I'm a natural eyeshadow type of girl and very rarely wear colored eyeshadow. There are twelve gorgeous shades in this palette and it retails for $80. They're mostly matte shadows with a few shimmery shade.  The palette comes with a caviar stick in the color cocoa and the full blown volume lash mascara.
Swatches of the top row from left to right: Noir, Deep Night, Coffee Ground, Cafe Au Lait and Ginger.

These colors were uber pigmented, the texture is very smooth and easy to bland and they're very soft to the touch. The stand out color for me is ginger because it's a gorgeous matte spicy gingery/redish color that's very unique. I also love Cafe Au Lait because it's an easy to use chocolate brown shade that would be perfect for every day use. Noir is the perfect intense matte black that can be use to smoke eyeshadow or as a liner. Deep night is a gorgeous deep blue and coffee ground is a very intense brown.

Swatches of the last row from left to right: buttercream, diamond pink, guava, sable, african violet, violet steels and rich cocoa at the bottom. I also swatted the caviar stick cocoa on top

Buttercream is a soft matte yellow white color which is perfect to use all over the lid to hide any discoloration. Dimaond pink I really love because it's a very girly shimmery pink much like Stila Kitten. Guava is perfect for spring and summer because it's a beautiful shimmery peach. Sable is a cool tone gray which it's much aprichiated (I think it's usful to have a palette that contains both cool and warm tone shades). African violet is one of my all time faveroutie shadows. A gorgeous shimmery warm purple with a ton of gold shimmer. Violet steels is a shimmery violet blue shadow and rich cocoa is a brown with a ton of gold shimmer. I noticed the shimmery shades have very finely milled shimmer so they would be perfect to wear for any occasion.

Overall, this palette is worth the money. The pigmentation is extremely intense, the color selection is perfect to create daytime or nighttime looks and it has any shadow you would need (highlight or smokey shades), it's light and the packaging is gorgeous.

Hope you all had a great weekend.

Bobbi Brown Pink Cloud Nail Polish -Swatch and review

Bobbi Brown's Pink Cloud nail polish is a your nails but better type of polish. I always gravitate towards these type of natural colors. This color look so natural on giving the appearance of clean and glossy nails but has a very feminine, girly and fun pink hue to to it. I absolutely love it. Not everyone will be a fan of the sheerness of this polish but if you like something girly spring like but yet like it keep it subtle or are ready for a change from the dark wintery polishes, then you'll love this. And the name is absolutely adorable...pink cloud. It describes this color very well, as it is a very soft cloud like whitish and dreamy color.
Hope you guys are having an amazing week.

Formula X for Sephora Centigrade swatch

Formula X Centigrade is a beautiful sophisticated blue. This is gorgeous on short nails. It's a very deep lapis blue and it maintains the blue instead of going black or purple.
Wearing this polish makes me feel both wintery and summery because it's dark enough to be worn in winter but it makes me think of the deep ocean...because it's such a gorgeous blue. Formula X is meant to be chip free but this did chip on me in a couple of days which I was really surprised. Otherwise, highly recommend this polish if you're looking for a "grown-up" blue.

Hope you all are having a great day.

OPI Cajun Shrimp swatch

January is officially over which in my mind equates to we are that much closer to spring. Spring is one of my favorite seasons. The warmer weather, gorgeous sunshine and blooming flowers makes spring so special. I find that seasons and season cravings sometimes dictate my nail polish choices. Today I went for OPI Cajun Shrimp a very bright and cheery orange/red color that's so stunning and it's gorgeous on the nails.

This is one of my favorite OPI nail polishes and its so beautiful on the toes as well and gorgeous with a tan. Looks perfect when those toes are dipped in sand or beautiful blue ocean water...ok I'm definitely  ready for spring and summer.

Hope you all are having an amazing day!
