Opi by Sephora I Think I Cayenne Nail Polish Swatches

I think I Caynee nail polish by Sephora by OPI is the perfect autumnal color. It's such a stunning burned orange with tons and tons of orange glitter running thru it. This is a gorgeous shimmer that makes me think of the leaves turning color and pumpkins and all things autumn translated in a  nail polish form.

It applies even in one coat and stayed on me for a week without chipping.
Overall, I can't think of a better color to start celebrating autumn.

Hope you all are having a lovely October.

MAC MARILYN MONROE VINTAGE VAMP

Vintage Vamp is part of MACs limited edition Marilyn Monroe collection. This is the perfect fall color..a dark, rich burgundy berry red polish. I had no problems with this polish streaking...two coats and it was perfect. I love it. It makes me think of one of my favorite nail polish colors of all time, which is Chanel Vamp but this feels a bit more modern. Perfect for the fall...see swatches below.
Hope you all have had a lovely, happy and healthy day.

MAC FOREVER MARILYN BEAUTY POWDER

One of the items I purchased from the latest MAC's Marilyn Monroe Collection was a beauty powder called Forever Marilyn. This is a very soft peachy highlighter with tons of micro, finally milled white shimmery glitter. I really do like this beauty powder. I find that most of the time the beauty powders released with collections  are geared towards "collectors" and lack pigmentation, but this is an exception. It's pigmented and it hilights beautifully. I wore it on top of my blush for that gorgeous glow within...see pics below for swatches and close up of the powder and the packaging.
Hope you all have had an amazing week and thank you for reading.

Butter London Fairy Lights

Butter London Fairy Lights is such a unique color. It's a metallic rose taupe color that looks different depending on how the light catches it. I don't have anything in my collection like this, and I have been obsessed with this color lately.
Hope you all are having a lovely Sunday

Hi everyone,
MAC just came out with the new Marilyn Monroe Collection. I haven't had a chance to properly test the items because I only got them today so for this post, I'm going to only share pictures and swatches. I'm going to start with the two eyeshadows that I purchased and they are "Preferred Blonde" which is a gorgeous shimmery golden shadow and "How to Marry" a beautiful white shimmer shadow. See pics below. Hope you all have had a lovely day.

Urban Decay Rock and Breathless Swatches

Hi everyone,
I've already made a post about the new UD build your own palette in Rock but I also purchased Breathless which is a Sephora exclusive.
As part of the holiday collation, Urban Decay has released three of these build your own palettes (I will do a review of Melt soon)

Below are the swatches of Rock and Breathless and also the video featuring both of these and The Vice Palette.
Hope you all have a lovely day.

OPI GERMAN-ICURE SWATCHES

Hi everyone,
Hope you all have had an amazing week. I have been training to run an ultra marathon in November which has been a lot of fun but also hard work.
OPI recently launched the German collection which I thought was composed of some great colors. I really refrained though and only picked the one that I thought best represented fall which is German-Icure.
German-Icure is a very rich burgundy red polish with tons of gold shimmers running thru. It makes me think of a ruby. It's fairly dark but in the sunshine all the shimmers come out to play. I think this will be a good transition to fall color. The first picture below is indoors whereas the other two are in direct sunshine.
All in all, I think this is gorgeous color.
Hope you all have a lovely Saturday

Essie Barefoot and Topless

This has to be the queen of the nude polishes. A very pretty warm nude that looks stunning with long nails I find. I have a strong love for nude polishes as it is because I find them easy to wear and they go well with any type of clothing as well as any type of jewelry. Sometimes, it's just nice to not have to think about things and I find nude polishes to be one of those easy choices. It just looks well with everything and it gives the nails and instant polish and clean look.

What I love about Essie's barefoot and topless is that this goes opeque with two coats which a lot of nude polishes do not. It also is a very pretty soft color that has enough color to look nice and clean but not make your hands look dead. It looks stunning with a tan but it also works on me when I am very pale. This polish would definitely make the top 10 polish list and its a must have for me.

Hope you all are having a beautiful and happy day.

Urban Decay Build Your Own Palette Rock

Hi Everyone,
I was just browsing the Urban Decay website as you do (you know you're a makeup junkie when stalk websites :)) and came across the new Urban Decay palettes.
Urban Decay has released two new palettes that are limited edition. These are the same idea as the last palette meaning they are "build your own" palette but do come with one eyeshadow. Whereas the last palette had 6 slots to fill and one shadow, this has 4 slots and one shadow. The palettes are Rock and Melt named after the eyeshadow they come with.

Rock comes with an oyster taupe shads. The palette itself is metal with tons of jewles on top, a very pretty design in my opinion.

Melt comes with a peach shadow and the palette design is gorgeous hot fuscia and red roses.

Below is the picture of Rock eyeshadow.

Will order Melt and do swatches and a full review once I get that it in the mail.
What can I say, I do love Urban Decay eyes shadows.

Hope you all have had an amazing Thursday.

Giorgio Armani Eyes To Kill Excess Mascara!

For the last 6 months I have been using Armani's eyes to kill mascara and since the first day I used it, it was love at first swipe! There are a lot of reasons why I fell in love with mascara. See pic below for an idea of how it looks on the lashes and the mascara wand.

According to Armani "Fine Fluid Micro-fil technology creates intensely captivating lash texture. Micro waxes combined with a finesses agent allow for smooth and easy application revealing weightless volume for lashes". All sounds good to me!

Long list of reasons why I fell in love with this mascara:
1. It provides dramatic lashes with one swipe unlike other mascaras that you have to reply several times to see dramatic "false lash" results.

2. Even though is very dark and dramatic, it washes off very easy....I would dare to say easier than any other mascara I have ever tried ( I love super dark, dramatic mascaras but they are difficult to remove). Although I love Benefit "They're Real" mascara washing it off at night can be such a pain!

3. It keeps the lashes soft.

4. It thickens and lengthens at the same time. It eliminates the need to use more than one mascara to achieve a flawless result.

5. It doesn't smudge

I have tried all three of the Armani's Eyes to Kill mascaras; the original, excess, and stretch and I love all three of them equally for different reasons. They are all brilliant.

Hope you all have had a lovely Wednesday and as always thank you for reading.

Burberry eyeshadow in Pale Barely and Midnight Brown swatches

Hi everyone,
Hope you all are having an amazing day! I wanted to share some swatches of some eyeshadows I have been loving lately. They are by Burberry and they are (at the moment) my favorite eyeshadow not just by any brand but also by Burberry. The Burberry shadows that I have tried are very pigmented, very smooth, very buttery, gorgeous colors, non creasing and long lasting. There is no cons to these shadows other than the price.

If you were to splurge on one eyeshadow by Burberry, start with Pale Barley. Pale Barely is a golden bronzy color that looks amazing on the lid, crease with or without another eyeshadow. I can not get enough of this color. It has a subtle shimmer to it but it is a high quality very grown up shimmer.
What I pair this with mostly is Burberry Midnight Brown. This is taupe brown with a ton of shimmer but again very subtle. A very dark and pigmented color, this is perfect for the crease.
I purchased mine at Nordstrom and I have since purchased two more in the color Chestnut and Rosewood which are also very lovely. I wish share some swatches of those later.

Hope you all are having a lovely day.

OPI Vodka and Caviar & Nails Inc Kensington Caviar Top Coat

OPI Vodka and Caviar may just be the best red nail polish I have ever tried...a perfect rich and classy red color, but yet sexy and  alluring.
It was difficult to capture the true color of this polish. The below picture is more accurate. For me, a red polish needs a glossy top coat to make it truly special. On a recent trip to Sephora, I decided to purchase Nails Inc Kensington Caviar Top Coat. This top coat actually contains caviar extract. I thought that was very appropriate to use with OPI's Vodka and Caviar, given the name of the polish. The effect on the nails is a very wet and glossy almost gel looking nail polish.
This is a match made in heaven. It's a timeless and classy look.
Hope you all are having an amazing week.

Some of my fave MAC eyeshadows

I love eyeshadow so I thought it was only appropriate to post a youtube video (http://www.youtube.com/user/29ansa) of my 10 favorite MAC eyeshdows.

It was hard picking 10 but here are the shadows that made the cut:
1. Nylon. A very shimmery light yellow color. This is perfect as a highlighter but I sometimes use it midway thru the lid and it opens up the eyes and gives the appearance of a well rested, just got back from a long vacation look.
2. Retrospeck. A golden mixed with silver making this a very unique shadow that instantly warms up the eye.
3. Shroom. I think of this shadow as that little black dress..this is just a good shadow to put all over the lid. It wont' show much color but it'll provide a little bit of light catching shine and even out the lids.
4. All that glitters. A very soft peachy pink golden sandy color. Very pretty as an every day eyeshadow
5. Satin Taupe. The perfect taupe. Very soft, buttery smooth
6. Woowinked. I think of this as perfect golden bronze....it's a very rich bronze color mixed with rich shimmery gold.
7. Tempting. Tempting is a half way house between golden and dark bronze. This is stunning on green eyes
8. Charcoal brown. This too me is simmilar to shroom...almost a necessaty. =) It's a perfect brown and I know a lot of people use this to fill in their brows. I haven't used it for that, but I can vouch that it makes a beautiful eyeshadow and liner.
9. Brown Down. This is a veluxe finish so very buttery and easy to blend and a dream to work with. This is a soft brown with a tinge of berry.
10. Mystery. This is the perfect cool brown that looks amazing for a smokey eye but less harsh than black.

Let me know what some of your fave eyeshadows are.
Have a great Sunday everyone.

Orly Fancy Fuchsia Swatch

It's a beautiful day today and although we’re still technically in the spring season it feels like a summer day. It’s close to 93 degrees outside so not for the faint of heart.
I ran this morning while it was still cool and not having much to do (being a holiday I didn’t have to go to work today) I decided to pamper myself. First step of course is painting my nails. After searching my collection for a pop of color, Orly Fancy Fuchsia was the final decision. This is probably the most opaque polish I have ever used. I could have gotten away with one coat. It applies like a dream. It’s a gorgeous hot fuchsia and it’s extremely bright. For me this color is a spring or summer polish ONLY and think will probably work even better as a toe polish.
I believe this is a limited edition polish but I found mine at Ulta.
Happy Monday everyone

Chanel Orange Fizz

If a nail polish could be delicious, this color would it. It's a gorgeous milky orange creamsicle color. I adore it.
I know this shows different on different skin tones and even looks pink on some but on me it's a unique bright cream orange. Coral and hot orange are in this season so I think this is a must have for summer.
Thankfully this is not a limited edition color.

What do you think about this color?
Happy Easter everyone.

MAC paint pot in Rubenesque

Spring is in the air and it's time to adjust the makeup; One of the things I love using during this time, is this paint pot.. It is a golden color laced with peach and coral undertones. It's stunning and girly. I often use this by itself with tons of mascara for a simple but springy look. Onto to swatchy goodness:

Excuse the clumpy mascara here but wanted to show how vibrant Rubenesque can look all by itself.

Do you have Rubenesque?

NOTD Laura Mercier Oh La La

Love this polish. It's a milky ballerina pink color. I have several of these colors. I'm always drawn to them. This is softer than OPI Mod about you; similar to China Glaze something sweet but less opaque. I adore this color. It's a very sophisticated pink.
What's your favorite milky pink nail polish?
Hope you all have had an amazing weekend.

Blast from the past! NOTD MAC seasonal peach

I bought MAC seasonal peach when it came out with the sugarsweet collection. This polish received a lot of negative reviews when it came out because of how streaky it applies (which it does) but I find that to be the case with all the milky colored nail polishes I own. The color is very unique though because it is a peach with a very slight tone of pink making it easy to wear if you have yellow undertones (like me) and orange/yellow tones look hideous on you. I love this color. It's soft enough to be office appropriate but colorful enough to get me in the mood for spring. The below is two coats only.
Since this was a limited edition item, I'm searching high and low to find a similar color in a permanent form. If you know of anything similar let me know.
Hope you all are having an amazing week.

NOTD China Glaze Dance Baby

Spring is in the air and I'm craving pastels. This color caught my eye because it's a blue pink which lays somewhere in between a pink and a lilac. It applied really well. This is two coats but one careful coat would do.

I love this color. Hope you all are having a great week.

Nars Hearts of Glass Eyeshadow

I'll start by saying, this is the only baby blue eyeshadow I own. It's a very unique color. I debated getting this for a year mainly because I love warm colors and they look best with my skin color. I shy away from blue eyeshadow period. It just doesn't flatter me but this is the pretties light eyeshadow I own. It's a very light blue with white shimmer. It opens up the eyes and gives you the effect of a wide awake and well rested look (which after running 20 miles yesterday I so desperately need).
Here is a swatch of the color. It's a shame the camera won't pick up the white shimmer.
I wore it with three coats of mascara and I darkened the crease with NARS Coconut Grove (MAC false lashes)

Do you own any baby blue shadows?

NOTD Essie Sand Tropez and Deborah Lippman Stairway to Heaven

Hi everyone,
Hope you all have had a great weekend. I'm training for a marathon this month and have been super busy. I decided to pamper myself a bit today and of course painting the nails is the first thing I do during a Sunday pampering section. I am not a glitter polish type of girl, but Deborah Lippman "Stairway to Heaven" really caught my eye...yes it's chunky glitter and it'll be difficult to remove but it makes me smile every time I look at it. What more can you ask out of a polish?  Essie Sand Tropez is a gorgeous nude. I like this even better than Essie Topless and Barefoot. It's more taupe so it gives my nails a bit more color than Topless and Barefoot. I only used one coat of each and really like the effect.

Happy Sunday everyone.

NOTD - Chanel Quartz

I typically like cream polishes. I do not like shimmer or glitter in polishes, but Quartz by Chanel felt like a grown up shimmer/glitter polish to me. It's this perfect taupy golden polish, and it looks amazing on.
Below is the swatch:
Isn't it gorgeous? What do you think about this color?
Hope you all are having a lovely January

NOTD - OPI tickle my france-y

This is such an unusual color but lovely color. It's one of those colors that'll go with everything. It's a muted rose and beigy/nude color. I love it. It's like a pink mocha.
Do you have this color?
I hope you all have had an amazing day
